Back in 2019, we launched Stacker as a way to create customer portal on top of your Airtable data. Since then, we’ve gone through many iterations, expanding both the types of apps you can create, and the data sources that feed in those apps.

Today, for many of our customers, Stacker is for more than just creating one or two apps on top of their data: Stacker is the core system that they’re using to power their business.

That’s why we’ve been working on an entirely new version of Stacker, one that’s specifically designed to become the core system at the beating heart of your company’s operations. With this new version, we plan to empower companies everywhere to create the perfect software system to power their businesses. Software built and owned by the teams who need it.

5 Feature Highlights

We've made hundreds of changes in this new version of Stacker. These highlighted features give you a taste of what's included:

Fully-capable data platform

Stacker apps are built on a backbone of data. We've made huge investments in our Stacker Tables offering to provide a scalable, performant and fully featured data platform. Our data modelling features like relationships, formulas, lookups, and rollups now support the complete range of capabilities needed to support any business process.

Unified collaboration across apps

Around the data in Stacker, you can now collaborate in new ways. Comment feeds have been upgraded to be richer and threaded, and new collaboration experiences have been added with Tasks and Notes which can be attached to any records.

Re-designed app interfaces

One of the key powers of the Stacker platform is to present data with the perfect interface for each user. We've completely rebuilt the app interfaces to be modern, performant and have more features. Our new list views, detail views and pages, allow you anyone to create better, more powerful apps.

Integrated with everything

Stacker needs to integrate with the processes you already have. To achieve this we're launching our first public API, and have already available integrations with the two leading no-code integration platforms: Zapier and Make.

Native automation platform with AI

All business processes have lots of steps that can be automated. The new Stacker massively expands on our previous action buttons to a fully fledged automation platform so based on triggers across the platform, you can determine a sequence of actions including making use of AI.

A workspace that grows with you

Stacker provides the space for an organization to turn its processes digital. Whether you start with one process, or a whole department, we've completely redesigned workspaces so that your workspace can grow to support the operations of your entire organization.

Still owned by business teams

We've changed so much, however we've not changed who we're for. Right from our initial launch in 2019, Stacker was created to empower business teams to own their software. And this is very much still true today, all the new features in the new Stacker are designed for business teams to succeed with.

Powered by brand new technology

As the Stacker Platform has evolved over the last five years, we've added and removed functionality depending on demand. Over the course of this period technology has come along way. We've taken this opportunity to transition Stacker to using the latest technologies to give us the best platform for the future.
